Title: Electromechanical Technician
Type of Placement: Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift 17:00am-7:00pm
Week 1 48 hours per week
Week 2 36 hours per week
Pay/Pay Range: $28.00-$40.00hourly

Summary:
The technician will perform maintenance functions for all manufacturing operations as part of a team but also be able to work independently. Balance and prioritize ongoing preventative maintenance with challenges that arise day to day during production. Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, PLC-controlled machinery, and facility support equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Address issues surrounding the safe operation of all equipment and the facility as a top priority.
- Install, replace, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment with a focus on servo drives, motors, and PLCs.
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical devices such as gearboxes, clutches, and roller bearings.
- Complete preventative, predictive and reactive industrial maintenance on equipment and throughout the facility.
- Manage priorities, service calls and coordinate with other technicians and engineering.
- Interface with the subcontractors.
- Follow good manufacturing practices per company operating procedures.
- Be in a continuous improvement mode.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in polyethylene extrusion.
- Proven mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to look at an entire process and determine the source of the problem/issue.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, servomotors, and drive systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and understand pneumatic diagrams.
- Analytical skills for problem-solving as well as a quick and efficient ability to make decisions.
- Flexibility to respond to emergency calls outside of shift.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to follow safety procedures.

- This is a manufacturing facility which features production lines / machinery or areas that are dedicated to producing one or more items. This facility is clean and maintained to ensure the safety of all employees.
Physical Capabilities:
- Requires ability to pay close attention to details. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs or more if required.
