Job Summary:
The General Sales Manager at Briggs Automotive Group will be responsible for overseeing and managing all sales activities for our dealership located in Fort Scott, Kansas. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proven track record of success in automotive sales, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a management role with a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $300,000 per year, paid semi-monthly. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual sales plans that align with dealership goals and objectives
- Train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve individual and team sales targets
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and make proactive adjustments to achieve sales goals
- Ensure compliance with all sales policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with finance and insurance department to ensure smooth and efficient processes for customers
- Manage all aspects of pricing and inventory to maximize profitability for the dealership
- Work closely with the marketing department to develop effective sales promotions and advertising strategies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote customer loyalty and retention
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and proactively seek out new sales opportunities
- Oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of sales associates
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a automotive managerial role
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of automotive financing and insurance processes
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
