Accounts Receivable Clerk

Dimmick Group Peterbilt is a family owned & operated Peterbilt and trailer dealership with 9 locations across the Northeast. We are looking to add an accounts receivable clerk (focus on warranty receivables and fleet receivables) to our accounting team in Utica, NY. This position is full time at the office in Utica, NY.

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures for fleet billing and warranty payments.
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
• Monitor warranty statements and fleet billing statements.
• Cross-train with the other accounts receivable positions.

• Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Manager or accountant.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and CDK software experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English and in Office 365
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
