We are looking for an Assistant teacher who can help to create a fun environment and incorporate educational programs that assist in building our children’s development. Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter, have strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to work in a team environment. Our teachers are dedicated to supporting our brand and mission of providing a global education for children of all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all state and company standards.
  • Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
  • Use only positive early childhood guidance strategies to instruct children.
  • Remain aware of all surroundings in and outside the daycare and report or correct unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Comply with state licensing and accreditation regulations for childcare centers.
  • Work with our team to achieve the childcare center's goals.
  • Present a welcoming attitude towards prospective families who tour the Academy.
  • Engage parents in conversation about their child's education, and the features and benefits of our early childhood programs.
  • Attend licensed teacher training, staff meetings, and other professional development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A State criminal background check required.
  • Must be able to adapt to continuously changing, fast-paced childcare center environment, and make the children's needs their primary focus.
  • Must be able to fully engage in physical activity. Must be able to kneel, stoop, squat, and stand for a long time, and demonstrate and engage in activities like jumping, dancing, walking, and running.
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs is also required.
  • Work is primarily performed at the childcare center. Daily outdoor work is required but work is otherwise indoors.
