Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for implementing the technology solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction. This role is based out of Chattanooga, TN.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute technical tasks for the implementation of technology solutions in partnership with project team and within budget
  • Provide timely and accurate information to clients and the team
  • Upgrade, configure, install and new solutions
  • Maintain existing networks and servers
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Maintain and adjust project scope as necessary
  • Spend time in MCA offices and on-site with clients to facilitate implementations

  • Network Upgrades
    • Firewall Deployments
    • Full Stack Switch replacements
    • Wireless Installations/Upgrades
  • Server Migrations and Upgrades
    • Windows Servers Installs/Upgrades
    • VMWare, vSphere
    • On-premises and cloud-based solutions
  • M365 and Azure:
    • Azure Active Directory
    • M365 Exchange
    • InTune, SharePoint, Teams

Skills & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Computing/Engineering/MIS/Information Science
  • Microsoft MCSA Track and VCP certifications preferred
  • 3+ Years of direct experience in deploying and configuring infrastructure equipment
  • Experience implementing and managing Microsoft Azure & Office365 including SharePoint solutions based on clients’ needs
  • Successful track record of implementation technology solutions through projects
  • Strong experience in server & storage solutions from partners such as Dell/HP/NetApp/EMC/EqualLogic/Open Stack
  • Experience in all virtualization platforms such as VMWare/Hyper-V/Azure
  • Understanding of emerging technologies such as hyper-convergence, SD-WANs and hybrid cloud solutions
  • Experience in firewalls/switches/VLANs utilizing such products such as SonicWALL/Cisco/ /WatchGuard/Ruckus/Fortinet/Dell Networking

Physical Requirements:

Work is primarily sedentary but requires exertion and lifting of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Occasional crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Repetitive use of computer (keyboard/mouse), and phone. Visually inspects, prepares, and analyzes data & figures, views computer constantly. Frequent travel (car). Occasional exposure to outdoor environmental conditions because of travel.
