Building Maintenance Tech

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the property and assisting the Maintenance Supervisor and Assistant Maintenance Supervisor with their responsibilities. This includes maintaining a safe and sanitary living environment for residents, guests, visitors and staff.
The Maintenance Technician assists with all aspects of the property's maintenance including the physical grounds, custodial, preventive, corrective, deferred and emergency. This person is also responsible for following the maintenance program to protect and maintain the property.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, office furniture and general repairs and maintenance
• Perform minor exterior maintenance activities
• Assist in maintenance of core building features
• Coordinate all major repairs with team leads and maintenance management
• Replace light bulbs
• Report all maintenance activities
• Ensure work environment is safe and free of clutter
• Ability to operate various pieces of mobile equipment including but not limited to fork trucks, man lifts, trucks
• Must undertake a team-working attitude and perform tasks as required to satisfy external & internal customers. Good problem solving, organizational, and assertiveness skills, excellent communication & ability to function in a demanding, fast-paced environment are all necessary for this opening
• Must have a sense of urgency

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years hands on general maintenance and/or technical equipment maintenance experience required.
• Ability to climb ladders, use hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
