Job Description
An opportunity to join a rapidly expanding philanthropic organization that supports young men and women who touch the game of golf through caddying and other golf employment opportunities. Director of Scholar and Alumni Engagement will manage all aspects and relationships between Scholars and Alumni. The Director of Scholar and Alumni Engagement will work with peers across the JWP/GAP Staff, Board of Trustees and will report to the GAP Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Scholar Engagement
· Event Management (Director will maintain overall responsibility for scholar events while receiving support from respective team members)
· Plan and execute annual Endowment Golf Tournament
· Plan and execute annual EMPOWER Scholar Summit; a half day leadership conference for 125-150 Scholars.
· Host periodic on-campus Scholar events to increase Scholar engagement
· Plan and execute annual Scholar Service Project event
EMPOWER Program Oversight
· Serve as conduit and connector between Scholars and career/internship opportunities in the JWP and GAP networks.
· Support and grow the EMPOWER Mentoring Program, provide regular content for the online community. Support Development efforts in providing collected data on mentors.
· Facilitate and promote Scholar engagement with career aptitude software.
· Manage the EMPOWER Job Board.
· With the Director of Education, support partnership efforts with youth-serving organizations.
· Integrate new Scholars into the EMPOWER Program
Alumni Engagement
· Event Management (Director will maintain overall responsibility for events alumni while receiving support from respective team members)
· Plan and Execute 2-3 alumni engagement events annually.
· In cooperation with alumni leadership, plan and execute all aspects of the annual Alumni Golf Tournament.
· Plan and execute all aspects of the annual Alumni Lifetime event.
Communication
· Create annual Alumni Publication and provide alumni content for Impact Report
Qualifications
· Knowledge of the game of golf and the role of the caddie
· College degree or equivalent work experience
· Non-profit experience preferred
· Highly organized and detail-oriented individual
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Self-starter and highly-motivated
· Engaging personality
