Torus is a pioneering composting company dedicated to reducing food waste and promoting sustainability. We collect food waste from local households and drop it off at a composting facility. 

Job Description:

We are looking for a responsible and motivated Compost Collection Driver to join our team. As a Compost Collection Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the timely and efficient collection of organic waste from our clients. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collection Duties: Safely use your own vehicle to collect food waste from designated locations, mostly residential locations.
• Route Management: Follow predetermined routes and schedules to ensure timely pickups, while adapting to any changes or special requests.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of collections, including the weight of the waste collected, and report this information to the logistics team.
• Compliance: Adhere to all local traffic laws and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Experience: Previous experience in driving or delivery roles is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and handle repetitive tasks such as lifting and bending.
• Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Benefits:

• Competitive Pay: $35-45/hour, based on experience.
• Hours: twice a week(more or less as desired) ~2 hours each trip.
• We are willing to pay more for performing the job satisfactorily and consistently. 

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Speaks English

Preferred qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• Own a personal vehicle
