Position Overview

As a Market Associate, you will be an essential part of our seasonal operations. You’ll assist customers with their holiday shopping needs, maintain a beautifully merchandised pop-up, and ensure a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment and has a passion for the holiday season.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service:
  • Greet and assist customers with a warm, friendly demeanor.
  • Provide product recommendations, answer questions, and offer gift-wrapping services.
  • Ensure each customer has a positive and memorable shopping experience.
• Sales and Transactions:
  • Handle transactions accurately  and process payments.
  • Promote and upsell seasonal products and special offers.
  • Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
• Merchandising and Store Maintenance:
  • Help set up and maintain festive displays, ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Keep the store tidy and organized, including replenishing inventory and arranging seasonal decor.
  • Assist in setting up the market and dismantling displays at the end of the day
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth pop-up operations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Participate in daily briefings and contribute ideas to enhance the customer experience.
• Product Knowledge:
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the products offered, including features, benefits, and pricing.
  • Stay informed about special promotions, upcoming events, and new arrivals.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience is preferred but not required. A passion for the holiday season and a positive attitude are key!
• Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Attention to detail and an eye for visual merchandising.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and in different climates (the pop-ups are all outside!) lift and carry up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Availability: Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, is essential.
