About this job

Position drives tractor / trailer(s) combinations to make long-distance pick-ups and deliveries of predominantly field ready Vendors, Visi-Coolers, Fountain Equipment, and miscellaneous MEM supplies. Confirms the inventory of the trailer, (number of units and asset/serial numbers), and checks for proper balance of the entire load. Completes proper process for paper work and electronic data for all trailer delivery and pick-up. Inspects vehicle for proper and safe operating conditions before and after each trip. Must maintain a DOT driver's log and adhere to all DOT regulations. May require driving in adverse weather conditions. Position may occasionally be required to stay overnight in the event of inclement weather.

Position requires working tractor/trailer(s) doubles components, including coupling and un-coupling trailer doubles, and includes bending and cranking landing gear as well as climbing in and out of cabs and sitting for extended periods of time. Also requires moving the dollies into position for transport and parking of the dollies.

If not driving, employee will be required to work inside the Equipment Hub completing assigned tasks (e.g. washing equipment, running scrubber, moving equipment with fork lift, etc.)

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

:

Deliver field ready equipment to designated destinations

Ensure safety and compliance of load

Maintain DOT driver log and other required transport documentation

Regular, reliable, predictable attendance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

:

21 years or older

Pass the required drug test

Pass the required background check

Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test

Valid Class A CDL license with Doubles endorsement

Follow DOT Regulations

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

Operating trucks requiring a CDL Class A license (e.g., driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, dropping and hooking, operating landing gear, or backing into docks and confined spaces, etc.)

Hauling secured cargo (e.g., transporting unstable loads or hauling different weights on different trip segments, etc.)

Operating a tractor-trailer in different conditions (e.g., highway driving, side/local roads, city/country, maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.)
