Get to know your seasonal workforce
54% of holiday job seekers are looking for a holiday job for the first time
With so many job seekers being new to seasonal work, setting expectations from the start will be extra critical this year. As you fine-tune your hiring and onboarding plans, it's important to understand these jobseekers.
Generation Z was by far the largest group looking for work amongst the holiday job seekers we surveyed. In fact, they made up over 40% of the seasonal job seekers. Gen X also made up a large portion at 25% of the job seekers we surveyed.
Both of these cohorts had one thing in common: the number one reason they're looking for holiday jobs is money, and they're willing to work for it! 42% of seasonal job seekers would like to work 30-39 hours a week while an additional 17% would like to work 40 or more hours a week.
