Summary: Ponte Family Estate Winery seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain the facility and ensure that the property is presented with a quality that exceeds the guest’s expectations. Safe and efficient operation of tools, and a careful and organized approach to completing work orders. You must show initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintenance (30%) • Purchase equipment parts by completing the necessary paperwork (e.g., purchase orders, requisitions, receivers, vouchers, etc.). • Keep accurate records detailing maintenance, service, and repair history on all equipment. • Understand and comply with all safety regulations and procedures; assist in making sure that the facility and equipment are safe for employees and visitors. Mechanical/Carpentry/Electrical (60%) • To ensure guest satisfaction and profitability is maximized at every opportunity. • To uphold professional standards of excellence and set an example to all other associates at all times. • Understand refrigeration systems. • Installation of equipment and construction projects. • Preventative maintenance inspections. • Painting of buildings and equipment. • Maintain winery fresh water system, and waste water filtration and pumping systems. • Operate heavy equipment, such as: backhoe, trenchers, loaders, etc. • Steel fabrication/welding, tig-mig-torch, stick plasma. • Light electrical installation/repair low voltage, control. • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair the following types of equipment. o Pumps o Valves (manual and actuated) o Bottling Equipment o Packaging Equipment o Boilers o Refrigeration o Conveying systems o Harvest equipment (Presses, Crushers, Pumps, Conveyors) o Restaurant equipment • Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery. • To be able to work well under pressure and to complete all assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner. • To maintain a clean work environment and uphold all Health and Safety Regulations. • Always have higher expectations for service levels. • Set the example of excellence in standards to other Associates at all times. • Ensure that all duties are carried out before the end of shift. • Assist fellow Associates with additional job duties as business dictates and is required. • Understands and adheres to the Ponte values and service standards. Miscellaneous Job Functions (10%) • Department and Winery clean-up. • Drag, lift, carry, and use water hoses to clean floors. • Use broom to sweep debris from floor. • Drive company vehicle to pick-up and deliver parts and/or supplies. • Drive Forklift to move supplies and equipment. • Drive back hoe and dump trucks. • Document all maintenance operations on work orders, logs, etc. Job Requirements: Education and Experience • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) • Minimum of 1-2 years maintenance experience. • Must be able to speak English Skills • Excellent communication skills • Has attention to detail and the ability to follow direction and abide by standard operating procedures. • Ability to focus for an entire shift, trouble shooting and prioritizing skills. Knowledge • Hospitality/Food and Beverage industry background and experience.
