The Kitchen Manager is expected to take responsibility for setting the expectation for all the kitchen team members to work as a team. You will be expected to be the example of our standards at all times, whether it is cleanliness, positive attitude or food quality. You must be responsible for the speed and accuracy of the team. Finally, you must be able to work efficiently with limited supervision and demonstrate leadership in order to motivate others.

You will be required to work a minimum of 50 hours, as this is a salaried position. Holidays and weekends are a must!

Responsibilities:

  • Report to work regularly and on time
  • Must be able to lead your team
  • Responsible for the development and operation of your team to support our success, and the integrity of our food quality
  • Consistently monitor the temps and quality of our food, guiding the team to cooperate with the Standard Operating Procedure
  • Food safety
  • Maintain all equipment/gaskets to prevent the need for repairs
  • Ensure a sense of urgency from all kitchen team members at all times
  • Partner with the FOH Managers to help the growth of the restaurant
  • Identify and solve real problems
  • Enforce core values
  • Hold each other accountable

Specific responsibilities:

  • Implement a cleaning schedule and follow through making sure it was completed
  • Insure consistent and accurate temps logs are kept
  • Monitor proper holding times of product
  • Manage food cost
  • Must monitor sales to set proper "par or build to" levels to insure the proper amount of food is ordered.
  • Manage inventory rotation FIFO

Skills required:

  • Communications with the GM and FOH managers
  • Effectively lead the development of others, including work relationships. Maintain respect for the entire restaurant and our team
  • Delegate daily tasks, end of shift side work and hold team accountable for those tasks
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of our recipes/prep procedures and comply with S.O.P. at all times
  • Be ready for Health inspections and Operating Evaluations
  • Create good work habits, eliminating criticals on our Evaluations
