Archive, Retrieval & Storage (ARS) Software Engineer:

This position will perform software development in support of the Archival, Restoral & Storage (ARS) CI in compliance with program requirements, specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities for this position include participation in full life cycle software development and integration tasks. The engineer will assist in requirements analysis, software design, coding, unit testing, integration, installation and maintenance of the system in a factory development environment. Duties include documentation of work products, participating in work product reviews and tracking performance against known goals and objectives. The engineer will Develop and maintain software code and integrate Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software components into a fully functional software system. Responsibilities include development of software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.

ARS Software Engineer Qualifications:

The candidate should possess demonstrated software engineering and integration skills including the following domains:

  • Proficient Linux skills, along with SAN & NAS integration
  • Experience with Java and Python development over a network
  • Experience using applets with WebLogic Server applications
  • Experience with iterative software development and integration
  • Experience with RDBMS development including Oracle and/or PL/SQL
  • Experience with system security including one/two way SSL, LDAP, and certificates
  • Experience with ClearCase (on Linux is preferred).
  • Experience building, packaging and deploying software builds into multiple environments via RPMs
  • Integration of COTS software products (Oracle 11, NetBackup)
  • Experience configuring or troubleshooting VMware based systems
  • Current/Active Secret Level Security Clearance Required
