Staff Accountant

Reputable thermoplastics company is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for their growing location in Englewood, CO.

Summary:
Primary responsibilities include supporting various aspects of accounting for the company. Solid accounting experience combined with a full understanding of the financial cycle. Ability to assist in preparation and maintain financial records, providing supporting documents to make adjustments to the General Ledger Accounts. Support the Chief Accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inventory/cost accounting including maintaining current costs in the bill of materials
• Audit ending inventory counts for end of month as well as end of the year
• Coordinate and facilitate inventory verification with auditors
• Oversee Accounts Receivable
• Prepare daily cash reconciliation
• Prepare benefit reconciliation and coordinate with HR
• Maintain Fixed Assets
• Provide back up for Payroll and Accounts Payable
• Assist in preparing audit documentation
• Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile, analyze and adjust general ledger accounts.
• Perform other accounting tasks as needed

Education/Experience:
5+ years of experience in accounting. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required or commensurate experience. Manufacturing and public accounting experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems. Great Plains or similar accounting software experience.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, and advanced user of Excel.
Adobe or similar software.
