POSITION PURPOSE
-

We are looking for highly qualified technical leaders and innovators to help grow one of the largest, fastest-growing eCommerce web sites in the world.
As Manager - Agile Coach your role in our Online Technology division of Home Depot will be to help transform our software development to Agile delivery methods by being a steward for quaking change. In this role you will be driving one of the largest transformations to Agile utilizing XP, Scrum or other approaches. You will be enthusiastically devoted to driving change, defining guardrails and applying the adoption of core practices, principles and values. Your ability to influence multiple levels of individuals from our associates who deliver our business value day to day to framing what/how and why agile makes a difference across portfolios and management support.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Coach teams and management to implement Agile thinking, processes, tools and metrics
  • Lead multiple cross-functional teams that span portfolios to define a backlog of activities supporting the agile transformation
  • Develop, implement and modify team metrics to help provide an accurate indicator of team progress tow toward goals
  • Evaluate and mentor individuals/teams by facilitating conversations, activities and experiences to help build a continuous improvement culture
  • Build alignment across the portfolios around what 'good' looks like and improve upon it as teams grow and/or wider industry changes occur
  • Apply your experience in how to implement Agile in a large scale environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10 plus years of experience in coaching Agile project teams using various techniques such as XP, Scrum, SAFe and Lean in various sized organizations
  • Prior consulting experience demonstrating adaptability and ability to influence change
  • Experience leading a successful Agile migration
  • Experience leading a technical team through tools, systems and approaches to support Agile delivery

NATURE AND SCOPE

  • Typically reports to a Director, Senior Manager, or Vice President.
  • Typically has supervisory responsibilities for technical staff at all levels.
  • Typically requires frequent persuasion or influencing of others
  • Typically considers among many different options or procedures when solving problems.
  • Typically, once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
  • Working knowledge of an eCommerce platform & other IT systems
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Presentation, facilitation and writing skills
  • Core Program/Project management capabilities
  • Experience with JIRA/ConfluenceExperience with continuous integration/deployment
  • Automation approaches including appropriate tooling to support
  • Knowledge of MS Offic
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must pass the Drug Test.
  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.
EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
