Hospital Services Facility Administrator

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As a Facility Administrator, you will provide direction, inspiration, and counseling to teammates, monitor workflow functions and customer satisfaction measures of the program with the expected result of meeting or exceeding the established financial and other objectives set in cooperation with leadership. The Facility Administrator reports to the Group Facility Administrator or Regional Operations Director.

Duties

• Interfaces with hospital administration including C-Suite.

• Responsible for multiple hospital programs

• May be needed to provide support and/or direction in a 24/7 environment

Financial Management

• Responsible for monthly monitoring of financial results, variance reporting and action plans to meet established budget objectives

• Reviews and manages income statements

• Supervises inventory management including purchasing, product selection, and supply usage

• Ensures patient and treatment charge information and other related data are accurate and submitted to the DaVita Corporate Office in a timely manner by means of designated reporting system.

Risk Management/Quality Assurance Compliance

• Ensures compliance with DaVita policies and procedures in accordance with State and Federal Regulations for patient care and services (HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, or other governing agencies)

• Constantly looks at current processes and procedures and identifies and implements areas of improvement while adhering to HIPAA, JCAHO, DOH as well as hospital and DCS requirements

• Participates in and leads quality assurance meetings and all applicable in-services

Teammate Management

• Creates, maintains, and communicates efficient and timely teammate schedules according to the needs of the program.

• Provides leadership to direct reports and helps direct reports overcome any organizational obstacles encountered.

• Plans, organizes and supervises the nursing, technical and biomedical staff to ensure high quality patient care according to DaVita and Acute Facility policy

• Facilitates teammate development (PDRs, coaching, mentoring, DaVita training, outside training); collaborate with direct reports to create professional development goals

• Determines staffing plans that promote the most effective use of all teammates; ensure coverage during teammate absences

The shining star in this role should have:

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in related area strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years' experience required in management (healthcare, business, or military) or equivalent renal experience (nurse, dietitian, social worker, etc) at discretion of DVP and/or ROD

Minimum of 3 years of solid people management including but not limited to teammate relations, hiring, termination, performance and professional development, and annual reviews

Proven ability to adeptly manage multiple priorities; a "gets stuff done" person Current RN licensure Passion for making a difference in people's lives Demonstrated ability to adapt, innovate and lead in an environment that moves at a rapid pace, where change is common Capacity to develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization and to influence positive outcomes Completed training programs approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system Current CPR certification required (or certification obtained within 60 days of hire) If FA is a Redwoods participant in the FA Practicum, the 2 years' management experience is not required; Redwoods FA operate under the supervision and mentoring of a Facility Administrator, Group Facility Administrator, or Regional Operations Director who meets the Facility Administrator requirements Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; functional proficiency in all DaVita clinical and business applications required within 90 days of hire Other qualifications and combinations of skills may be considered at the discretion of the ROD and/or Divisional Vice President
