Our Senior Evaluator positions are critical to the success of St. Joseph 's Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. It is expected that our employees demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

The Senior Evaluator will complete initial psychiatric and chemical dependency assessments. Responsible for enhancing referrals and gathering and disseminating information collected during the evaluation/admission process. Resource person to the general public and community agencies for counseling and allied services. Liaison for the purpose of facilitating courteous and professional working relations among St. Joseph's Behavioral Health Center and other medical centers and agencies who serve as referral sources, including utilization review and managed care companies. This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including a child, adolescent/teen, adult and geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

REQUIREMENTS :

Background and experience in the application of Crisis Theory Methodology and experience in an inpatient or residential Psychiatric setting required, with a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a Psychiatric/Chemical Dependency setting conducting evaluations.

A degree in an Allied Health field such as Psychology, Social Work or Psychiatric Nursing.

Current California RN, LVN/LPT license, if applicable.

Current BLS Card.

Current CA drivers license.
