Position Description
Walmart Labs is seeking an intern Software Engineer to join us as we leverage our position as the world's largest company to revolutionize e-commerce. The Global Products team is innovate group of product engineering located in San Bruno, California (just south of San Francisco) that moves rapidly and employs the latest in software development best practices. The ideal candidate for this position is future engineer or developer who is passionate about product quality and implementing software for identifying quality issues and improving productivity. He/she is a highly motivated self-starter and an excellent communicator and builds strong cross-functional relationships, internally and externally. He /she has experience writing clean object oriented code and implementing software applications for web and mobile platforms. The person who we choose for this position will help build application/s of High Quality and Rich User Experience to millions of people who will use it every day. We think that's a pretty neat opportunity that will help pave path to your career in software engineering.
Minimum Qualifications
• Excellent Object oriented development experience in any one of programming language - Java, C++, Objective C, Ruby or Python • Experience implementing basic software or test frameworks for web based, mobile or backend applications • Experience with system software or algorithms
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Smart students who are out to change the world! • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer science or related field • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment • Eagerness to make an impact by being a self-motivated learner and builder • Engineering degree a strong plus • Must be solution and team oriented with the ability to build trust and influence others
