About this job
Aerotek is looking for a mechanic with experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic actuators and other aircraft components. This position requires the following experience:
Mechanics will be expected to perform repair, overhaul and/or modification to electro-hydraulic actuators of varying complexity on aerospace components and assemblies.
Repair, overhaul and/or modification to electro- hydraulic actuators is broken into the following phases of maintenance (Preliminary inspections, preliminary functional testing and troubleshooting, inspection, repair and assembly, final functional testing and final processing of electro-hydraulic actuators according to FAA standards, original equipment manufacturers and customers requirements to insure airworthiness under moderate supervision.
Technicians must be capable of reading and interpreting component maintenance manuals, engineering orders, engineering drawings and specifications as needed to assess conformance to requirement. Technicians must be capable of quickly learning to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to: Geometric inspection (caliper, micrometer, surface roughness, CMM), electrical soldering, electrical crimping, sealant application, hydraulic and electrical testing along with knowledge of associated electrical test equipment and there application, as well as product assembly.
This position will be a day shift Monday-Friday with some opportunity for overtime.
