At Wegmans, helping our customers make great meals easy includes providing the perfect accompaniments to complete their meal from departments like our Wine Shop. In the role, you will provide Wegmans customers solutions to questions varying from product features & benefits to meal pairing suggestions. Working with departments throughout the store, you will drive sales by creating interest and enthusiasm for wine, while providing the award winning incredible customer service Wegmans is known for.   • Provide incredible customer service by enthusiastically sharing knowledge about products and introducing new ways to enjoy them

  • Increase sales for a given department, product, or category by helping to create knowledge based service focus within the department
  • Gather and assemble data for analysis including; items sold, net sales and shrink
  • Increase sales by learning about and targeting new or company driven products within specified area
  • Partner with Department and Area Manager to identify products to sell, setting sales goals, and analyzing results

Work environment:

  • May be exposed to some seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather
  • Will be required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours
  • This position will travel between all Massachusetts stores located in Chestnut Hill, Northborough, Burlington, and Westwood

Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older.

Days/Hours Requirement: Full Time applicants are required to have an open availability Monday - Saturday, between the primary operating hours of 6am–Midnight. Full time employees are typically scheduled a minimum of 40 hours/week, including evenings and weekends to meet business needs. Our existing stores experience busy sales patterns on the weekends. All hourly employees will earn time and one-half on Sunday.
