Assistant Project Manager (CENTRAL REGION) - Full-time / Part-time

A reputable General Contracting Construction Firm in Chicago is looking to expand their team within their Construction Management Division. We have immediate openings and are looking for eager and qualified individuals.

These specific Project Management roles will support the re-branding and updating of a large multi-site bid that was just won and will be supporting a region. This specific region includes: CO, AZ, UT, TX, NM, NE, LA, OK, AR, MS, WY). Where candidates live does not matter, but individuals must be comfortable with the potential of traveling to the above states on site visits.

Responsibilities:

-Will work remote from home unless on site at one of the locations
-Work Out in the field, first line of defense, QC
-Communicating with the partner out on site, will be the primary point of contact for the General Contractor
-Oversee the subcontractor work
-Communicate with clients on site if any issues arise
-Building the schedule and phasing plans to make sure project is completed on time
-Tool box talks each morning with subcontractors to talk about what needs to be completed
-Daily construction meetings to get update on projects
-Take field pictures with iPad/iPhone
-Electronically tracking quantities to track progress to the team back in Chicago
-Quality Control, looking over blue prints to make sure the construction lines up
-Material Procurement
-Change Orders, Document Coordination
-Manage site, owner, clientele, architect, etc.

Qualifications:

-B.S. Degree in Construction Management or related field
-2-5 years of commercial construction management experience
-Strong organization and communication skills
-Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
-Construction focus
-Experience working as a Project Manager
-Experience managing field projects and overseeing subcontractors
-Great communication skills
