The Senior Manager, Mobile Applications is responsible for strategy, innovation, planning and managing homedepot.com’s customer facing mobile application experiences for iOS and Android devices. This role will lead and develop roadmaps and execution across dedicated product, design, development and analytics teams to champion a best-in-class experience that closely aligns to customer, behavioral and contextual use cases and supports The Home Depot’s interconnected retail strategy. The Senior Manager, Mobile Applications will be ultimately responsible for developing requirements and creating and managing compelling multi-channel experiences for customers (DIY, Pro, Associate) that tie back to customer needs and business objectives.

Additionally, the position will be responsible for assisting in the design and execution of mobile awareness, marketing and in store adoption programs that will drive incremental traffic and sales inside and outside the physical store environment.

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative but disciplined approach to digital and mobile product development and management. He/she possesses an orientation to successful, on-time, on-budget project implementation. Prior mobile product management experience and an understanding of mobile user needs and behavior (location, voice, messaging, etc) is a necessity. The Senior Manager is ultimately responsible for creating and managing compelling mobile application experiences for customers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- 50% - Develop, own and drive the execution of bold & innovative ideas including highly engaging desktop, mobile & tablet experiences; Partner and build strong relationships across internal teams & work streams; Develop business goals & objectives and ensure continuous alignment of product roadmap across a holistic customer experience.
- 20% - Make recommendations for new product features, enhancements and experiences – this may include conceptual development, research, business case development, technical requirements, positioning and market strategy.
- 10% - Balance the needs of other internal parties while effectively communicating and championing existing and new opportunities around touch-optimized experiences.
- 10% - Deep and continuous understanding of highly fragmented desktop, mobile and tablet audiences and how experiences play a larger role in contributing to organizational goals and initiatives.
- 10% - Develop and maintain detailed Key Performance Indicators and other support materials that measure success and facilitate efficient and accurate information sharing among key shareholders and constituents; Continuously monitor competitive environment and developments in a fast-paced, evolving industry

Nature and Scope
- Position reports to Sr. Director, Digital Experience Strategy
- Number of direct reports – 1-3
- Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

Environmental Job Requirements
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualification
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

Education Required
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Job Requirements 
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications
- Prior digital/mobile product management experience
- Understanding of mobile user needs and behaviors
- Possess an innovative but data disciplined approach to product development and management
- Possess a strong understanding of ecommerce technologies and trends including existing, new and emerging touch-enabled form factors

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- 8 years of online product management, information technology and/or ecommerce including 4+ years in a Mobile product/commerce related role
- Demonstrated success achieving buy in for an innovative and bold vision
- Demonstrated track record of strong execution and experience partnering with technical teams to deliver results
- Demonstrated understanding of mobile industry and technology channels/platforms
- Experience in customer-centric product development, design and project management
