Endoscopy Charge Nurse

An Ambulatory Surgery Center located near the coast just north of Los Angeles has an opening for an Endoscopy Charge Nurse.

The Ambulatory Surgical Center offers 4 state of the art GI rooms and 4 ORs and cares for same day surgery patients. Common procedures include interventional radiology, colonoscopy, gastro endoscopy, biopsies and general surgery. The Ambulatory Surgery GI Charge Nurse plays a key role in coordinating patient care and developing staff.

The outpatient same day Surgery RN Supervisor plans and evaluates the nursing process and manages the daily workload. The Endoscopy Charge Nurse will determine staffing needs within the ambulatory surgical unit’s budget. The surgery center is looking for a leader focused on team building and engaging staff for optimal efficiency and success. Experience in nursing leadership and relevant surgical experience is welcomed and desired.

The Gastrointestinal Clinical Coordinator will report to a Pre-op / PACU nurse manager and should have a working knowledge of common same day surgery procedures as well as experience in taking initiative and showing leadership. The Ambulatory Surgery Charge Nurse Short-Stay Unit will delegate tasks and ensure that the unit’s daily goals and objectives are being met through excellent clinical and administrative practices.
