Yardman/Laborer/Forklift Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an outgoing person who takes pride in accuracy for a position in Columbia Falls. This full-time lumberyard assistant/load building position will give you the opportunity to hone your knowledge of the lumber business while filling a crucial role in building materials distribution! A clean driving record is a must. Forklift experience is recommended but not required. Training and certification will be provided. Applicants should be able to lift 80 pounds.

Skills Required: Perform duties pertaining to the manufacture of pre-fabricated wall-panels, floor and wall trusses.

• Knowledge of company products
• High level of organizational skills
• Math skills required
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read design orders and follow safety regulations

Qualities Required: 

• Maintain and organize inventory in lumberyard and associated warehouse
• Assist foreman with assembly of wall-panels, floor and wall trusses
• Unload freight from distributors
• Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project,or team related productivity goals.
• Maintain logs of equipment repair status
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned
