PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Project Management Officer is a professional able to support projects and programs independently, acts as a right hand of project manager / delivery manager. The activities of the PMO are centralized around resource and work planning & control, change management and product quality control. Also, a PMO person is able to collaborate with Project Managers to: schedule and assign work, set objectives, provide feedback on project performance and motivate.
In short, a PMO is in the backbone of operations helping the project managers to administer and operate within different project management areas and manage resources to deliver scheduled and on demand services in time, scope and budget agreed with TSS Leadership.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration of risks and issues

  • Help with implementation of standard project management methodology and key routines

  • Resource management support; keeping track of plans, quality standards, deliverables and dependencies

  • Project metrics reporting and management

  • Facilitation of internal and external meetings including senior level leadership and business partners

  • Monitoring of relations between project areas and active improvement submission

  • Organizing project resource management

  • Report generation following a predefined script as well as preparation of custom reports for project needs

 

Additional Duties

  • Provide input to systems teams on development of new tools to support TSS Key Initiatives.

  • Identify and participate in training and development opportunities designed to improve professional skills and personal growth.

  • Train and develop new TSS Operations team members.

  • Establish relationship with key teams across the organization.

 

 

Reports to TSS Operations Director.

Works closely with HQ and Overseas Offices.

Partners with cross functional teams including: Merch Process, MP, MP Ops, L&D, Merchandising, PD&D, Transportation, TTS, Marketing and Global Trade Services.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four year college degree

  • 6-8 years of related experience.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, ability to see the big picture. Must be detail oriented.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to approach and work with senior leaders.

  • Ability to think strategically as well as tactically when it comes to project management and problem solving.

  • Ability to translate complex concepts into simple summaries.

  • Strong initiative: proactive and self-motivated with can-do attitude.

  • Ability to collaborate with diverse cross functional groups.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, willing to step out of own comfort zone.

  • Team player.

  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

     

  1. DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Familiarity with Target Sourcing and merchandising processes; understanding the product development life cycle.

    Or

  • Background in Project Management

  • Experience working with Multi Cultural/International Audiences.

  • Knowledge of MS SharePoint
