In addition to a starting wage of $35.57 per hour, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more./b/p p /p pubAbout the position:/b/ubr Under direct supervision switching substations, generating substations, and other electric delivery equipment and facilities found on the transmission, distribution, or underground systems  br Under general supervision perform the following duties:/p ul liInstall/li liConstruct/li liInspect/li liTest/li liOperate/li liMaintain all equipment and facilities in electric substations/li liSnow removal/li liMaterial delivery/li liInstallation and maintenance of fencing/li liAll other minor maintenance work as deemed by management/li /ul p /p p /p pbAfter one year's experience as a Substation Worker A duties may also include:/b/p ul liGrounding/li liSwitching Operations/li liOperate all equipment such as aerial lifts, boom trucks, fork trucks, and articulating lifts/li /ul p /p p /p pubJob Qualifications:/b/u/p ul liMust have a NYS CDL Class A (restricted) or ability to obtain one within six months/li liMust be able to perform strenuous work including work at elevated heights and confined spaces./li liMust pass physical abilities examination./li liMust pass validated aptitude test./li liMust have a valid driver license/li liMust have a high school diploma or equivalent /li /ul p /p pubAccredited Postings:/b/u/p ul liMust possess, as determined solely by management, a two-year degree or certificate in Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or Electric Construction/Maintenance from an accredited college or university or equivalent electrical apprenticeship or journeyman certificate program as determined by management.
