The Project Supervisor provides support and enhancements to existing and new operations systems to ensure projects are aligned with the corporate strategy. He/She gathers business requirements, initiates feasibility studies, and maintains data for the project's life cycle. The Project Supervisor serves as liaison between stakeholders, software developers, and end users.

He/She will create and develop functional design requirements (e.g.; user acceptance test (UAT) scripts, UAT lab testing for GTS-Global Timecard System and PFT-Production Flow Technology.  He/She will interview UPS region and district staff to define how the application will perform.  The Project Supervisor will update user manuals to ensure functionality data is current as well as conduct application training to provide end users and management with information on the systems' functionality. He/She must be self-motivated and willing to work with little to no supervision.

Other Duties

  • Develops business cases to ensure projects are aligned with UPS's corporate strategy.
  • Performs cost benefit analyses to ensure effective use of UPS resources and maximum return-on-investment.
  • Conducts survey meetings with end users to clarify business requests and determine project cost.
  • Reports application defects to IS to ensure resolution prior to deployment.
  • Attends stakeholders’ status meetings to provide application progress reports.
  • Maintains application documentation to ensure user guides are current and user-friendly
  • Confers with requestors and Information Systems (IS) to ensure project scope is clearly defined
  • Runs test scripts to ensure applications meet end users' needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office products or equivalent software - Preferred
  • Proficient in use of Package Center Technology - Preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of package operations procedures - Preferred
  • Ability to use web based tools to investigate field test issues - Preferred
  • Former Dispatch Supervisor experience – Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
