Job Summary

The Americas Treasury Supervisor oversees the cash operations for UPS and UPS subsidiaries for the Americas region. This position is responsible for adhering to and enforcing compliance of Treasury policies and procedures. He/She oversees letters of credit and bank guarantees and will be responsible for various ad-hoc projects. The Americas Treasury Supervisor supervises Cash Positioning
Specialists, General Ledger Balancing Specialist, and Banking Administration Specialists.

The Americas Treasury Supervisor provides audit-related support to satisfy compliance requirements. This position serves as a system administrator for Treasury systems to ensure adherence to procedures, maximized functionality, and properly authorized user and account access. He/She monitors bank account openings and closings to avoid unnecessary bank fees and mitigate account risk exposure.

Other Duties

  • Manages bank accounts to ensure proper funding and no excess cash balances.
  • Approves funds transfer requests to release properly authorized fund transfers for execution.
  • Develops, implements, and tests cash management contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted cash operations.
  • Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans
  • Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
  • Reviews journal entries to ensure consistency with bank transactions.

Minimum Qualifiers

  • Bachelor's Degree – Accounting, Finance, or related field - Preferred
  • Fluent in Portuguese - Preferred
