About this role:

The Senior Technology Support Analyst provides users with support services for corporate standard technology products. Hershel provides hardware and software planning, technical advice, and informal training to internal customers. This position organizes and coordinates installation and deployment activities for software, hardware, and network facility upgrades. The Senior Technology Support Analyst troubleshoots and restores routine technical service and equipment problems within established processes and procedures and makes recommendations for problem prevention. He/She interacts with field locations to standardize support practices and procedures. This position coordinates deployments and implementations with Information Services' (I.S.) departments and user groups and facilitates activities to ensure projects and programs meet established deadlines.

The Senior Technology Support Analyst in Technical Infrastructure team will support ENT specific software and environments. The position requires proprietary knowledge of UPS specific processes and procedures, good understanding of TEC support rules and forms, extensive coordination with other UPS Support Teams and ability to build strategic relationships. Beeper rotation and weekend assignments should be expected. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Red Hat Linux systems administration, MS Windows and MS Office products and tools. They will know how to set up and navigate the various hardware components and configurations such as DASD, networking, firewall rules and security. They will have experience with both physical servers, virtual machines, code promoting and Cloud/ Tenant Management. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Security and SOX compliance processes, audits and monitoring (familiar with Tripwire, Guardium, Vormetrics and similar tools). Candidate should have a working knowledge of Citrix including monitoring tools, trouble shooting and problem resolution. Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite and Oracle Business Intelligence products is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience with Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software, Linux and Windows Operating System
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Requirements Elicitation, Requirements Management, Requirements Prioritization
  • Building Strategic relationships
  • Good communications skills both oral and written
  • Documentation skills, Troubleshooting skills
  • Multitasking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Services or related discipline
