The Logistics Program Manager is a key resource to support the supply chain and logistics function with data, analysis and recommendations to ensure the achievement of short-, mid-, and long-term team goals and objectives. Will be responsible for the development and implementation of reporting and financial metrics along with support of implementation of processes and procedures at designated plant location. Key activities include understanding the logic of financial and operational metrics and automating the data collection and analysis. Ongoing efforts in identifying and implementing cost reduction and process improvements are also required. Critical success factors include excellent analytic skills, the ability to work with cross functional teams, creative problem solving, and a solid understanding of the financials that drive all costs. This position reports to the Director of Logistics.

Essential Functions- Roles/Responsibilities
  • Working with Corporate Finance team to provide accurate, timely analysis of freight spend
  • Work with other Logistics team members to provide data analysis support and report generation
  • Optimization of company-owned and leased assets (tractors, trailers, forklifts, etc.).
  • Day to day management of freight payment activities to include oversight of the 120,000+ annual transactions processed through the Altium 3rd party freight payment provider partner.
  • Facilitate the Altium fuel surcharge (FSC) program ensuring pricing changes are implemented in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for capturing all cost increases and working with the commercial group to ensure these costs are identified, reviewed, and passed to customers consistent with existing agreements.
  • Assist in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in all Logistics areas including but not limited to transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and network effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Production Planning team to develop plant inventory targets to accurately project warehouse needs
  • Support the plant network in resolving SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Reports) in a timely manner by implementing corrective actions and negotiating claims as appropriate.
  • Support all of Altium as central resource for Logistics data gathering and analysis
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related business area.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience Logistics or Supply Chain analysis
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential.
  • Very high proficiency in Excel is required. Experience with Microsoft Access, Project, and Visio a plus.
  • Experience in advance data tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau a plus
  • Some travel possible
