Job Summary

DRS RADA Technologiesis seeking System Integration & Test Engineers to focus on test and evaluation of radar systems. Your immediate focus will be on operational testing of the systems we build here in the US. Testing will involve radars, may include other counter-defensive components, command and control systems, and tests may be performed in stationary configurations or on-the-move configurations on land vehicles or ships and may be performed locally, at customer sites, or test ranges.

Duties include participating in a complex integration program; establish methods and techniques, write integration procedures and reports, and conduct integration utilizing comprehensive knowledge of complex subsystems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Involved with the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new and/or existing systems/sub-systems. May include Architectural Design, Requirements Engineering, or others.
  • Determine system specifications. Support acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed).
  • Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned tasks on time and budget.
  • Design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
  • May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.
  • Report progress and status regularly.
  • Review customer specifications and requirements and, under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable.
  • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements.
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Participate in the preparation of less-complex proposals.
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings.
  • Develop and/or support development of systems engineering artifacts such as System/Subsystem Requirements Documents (SRD), Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
  • Develop TEMP, and associated test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Perform and/or support test of radar systems at the RADA USA facility, in the field, and at customer locations or test ranges.
  • Analyze operational test performance against requirements, identify deficiencies, maintain test discrepancy database, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with engineers/developers to correct deficiencies.
  • Lead and/or support integration of radars into counter-defensive systems.
  • Perform regular cybersecurity scans and apply Windows patches and STIGs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3years of integration engineering experience on a development contract including systems/hardware integration and troubleshooting
  • DOD Secret clearance or ability to obtain a clearance
  • Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to analyze system problems and communicate issues to the engineering team.
  • Systems engineering experience on US DOD projects
  • Interpersonal skills with a history of customer interaction experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experiencepreparing and executing Integration procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience developing TEMP and other test plans supporting US DOD customers
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Suite Tools (JIRA)
  • Prior experience integrating complex hardware/software systems
  • Prior experience operating radar systems
  • Experience in applying Security Technical Implementation Guide controls
  • Experience in working with vulnerability tools (Nessus, OpenVAS)
  • Experience in working with Security Control Assessment Protocol (SCAP) and related tools (e.g., SCAP Compliance Checker or OpenSCAP)
  • Familiarity with DevOps environments as a test engineer
Travel
