Role Objective: The Parts Coordinator will support the Service Technicians and Management to ensure the Company has the proper parts inventory to meet customers needs. The position works in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for ordering parts, creating purchase orders, processing invoices, developing, and maintaining relationships with vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain adequate and organized inventory of parts used by technicians for repairs and preventive. maintenance services
  • Quote prices to customers, manage backorders, and maintain vendor relations, including ensuring invoices, shipment slips, and other billing issues are taken care of promptly.
  • Monitor all vendors for proper pricing and serviceability.
  • Prepare and ship parts to outlying facilities as needed.
  • Monitor the usage rates of parts and adjust inventory as needed.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with customers and other service teams.
  • Purchasing parts including quoting on parts.
  • Selling existing inventory to third-parties.
  • Quoting and invoicing jobs including inputting job sheets via third-party online software.
  • Use online inventory tracking system.
  • Execute all phase of an order, from order intake to invoicing.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
Other duties as assigned

| Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:
  • Knowledge in the marine service industry
  • Background in spare parts coordination or inventory control
  • Customer service experience
  • Operate a forklift to move and load parts
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen upon request.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED certificate and excellent organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • May exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force constantly.
  • Requires hearing, talking, grasping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and crawling.
  • Worker is required to have the ability to see details at a distance and is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing gauges.
  • The worker is subject to noise, vibration, hazards, and is frequently in close quarters and small enclosed rooms and is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
