PRN Activity Therapist

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a PRN Activity Therapist!

The Activity Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for the assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients. Experience and/or certification in Art Therapy is a plus!

Located on a 37-acre wooded campus in the city of Smyrna, GA on the outskirts of Atlanta, Ridgeview Institute provides a safe, caring environment with Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Counselors, Activity Therapists and Mental Health Technicians. Treatment services include inpatient and outpatient services and aftercare.

To learn more about Ridgeview Institute, please visit: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational, Art, Music, or Recreational Therapy, humanities, social work or related therapeutic discipline, or a Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Licensure: Certification or licensure by state of Georgia and/or national governing body in one of the following areas: art, occupational, recreation, or music therapy.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification/First Aid and successful completion of CPI prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within the orientation period. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours. Current Lifeguard and First Aid certifications if conducting swimming activities.
