Description

Under limited supervision, the Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical condition of agency owned properties and grounds to ensure a safe and reliable work environment for staff and visitors primarily at the Legacy Tower West, but will be going to all F&CS locations (owned or leased) as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilities

Maintain data base record of all major equipment and systems repairs and maintenance

  1. Maintains all equipment and schedules for equipment service calls when applicable;
  2. Perform daily walkthroughs of facilities to monitor safety and repair needs;
  3. Maintain building manuals, warranties and other documentation in organized and accessible manner
  4. Oversees conference room schedules and usage which includes: furniture and equipment arrangements and act as primary contact with room organizers.

Electrical/Plumbing/HVAC

  1. Monitor internal lighting systems for replacement of lights, safety issues, and completes maintenance and repair as required;
  2. Monitor staff usage of personal lighting/heating equipment, ensuring that all meets UL and Agency standards;
  3. Completes routine plumbing and HVAC maintenance/repairs and resolves emergencies and coordinates repairs to equipment as applicable;
  4. Monitors and adjust as required heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for staff comfort;
  5. Oversees a regularly scheduled filter replacement program for HVAC equipment;
  1. Performs routine maintenance.

Site Safety and Security

  1. Ensures compliance with all agency Safety policies
  2. Complies with building and safety code requirements, including annual inspection of elevator and fire suppression equipment and extinguishers
  3. Identifies and communicates any safety concerns with appropriate Department Supervisors

Facility Standards of appearance

  1. Responsible monitoring and assuring that site maintains high standards for lobby appearance, the maintenance of graphic signage uniformity in lobbies, client pamphlets and agency materials;
  2. Perform daily walk through to monitor all areas;
  3. Perform site repairs

Employee Moves/Changes

Assist in internal office moves and relocation of furniture. Communicates all move request to Director of Facilities and Risk Management.

Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Five (5) years similar experience. Must be able to physically lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to work with the public, ability to maintain an effective working relationship with agency employees, ability to maintain a professional manner at all times and ability to maintain confidentiality. Must carry cellular phone during working hours and after hours. Must possess an Oklahoma Driver's License and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office. Must obtain 1st Class Stationary Engineer (limited) license within 42 months of employment.

This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Due to the "safety-sensitive" classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
