Position Summary

Consolidated Machine & Tool (CMT) is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to add to our growing team. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for assisting in areas of personnel administrative functions, employee engagement, benefits administration, performance management, and other various HR projects as assigned. *This is a remote position ONLY available to those who reside in IA or NJ. This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. The salary range for this role is between $65,000 - $85,000 per year depending on experience*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to onboarding and offboarding processes and training initiatives.
  • Offer expert guidance on HR-related topics, including compensation and issue resolution.
  • Take charge of worker's compensation filings, claims, and safety initiatives, ensuring thorough oversight and proactive follow-through for optimal outcomes.
  • Lead the management of leave of absence administration, encompassing short-term and long-term disability filing processes, and ensure diligent follow-up for effective resolution.
  • Play a key role in the formulation and implementation of comprehensive HR policies.
  • Manage tasks related to performance management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze and derive actionable insights from HR metrics to enhance strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure meticulous compliance with labor regulations and laws across multiple states.
  • Oversee and efficiently manage unemployment claims, disputes, and state agency filings.
  • Maintain the integrity of personnel files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with site leaders to organize and conduct annual employee performance reviews.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues promptly to elevate overall job satisfaction.
  • Contribute strategically to the coordination of training and development initiatives, emphasizing continuous improvement.
  • Conduct insightful exit interviews and promptly address any identified concerns to enhance the employee experience.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities, including processing 5500 forms and providing support in recruiting activities as needed.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of substantial Human Resources experience.
  • Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Superb judgment and integrity, along with excellent decision-making skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to balance tactical and strategic approaches to meet business needs effectively.
  • Proven attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities seamlessly.
  • Professionalism and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Paylocity HRIS a strong plus!
