Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join this district's special education team for the school year. As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with developmental, sensory, and physical disabilities. The ideal candidate for this position will work full-time, 5days a week with elementary-highschool students. Starting pay for this position is $40/hour, and be negotiated based on background/experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students with developmental, sensory, and physical disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that target specific areas of need, such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school team members to ensure continuity of care and support for students with disabilities
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' occupational therapy goals and progress
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and other school staff regarding strategies to support students with disabilities in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- CDE SSP license
- Prior experience working in a school setting preferred
