MRO INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. MATERIAL REPAIR OPERATIONS INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST – Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the perpetual inventory through production reporting, receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control, and distribution of materials, supplies, parts, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance, production and logistics departments. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to: Efficiently and accurately enter all relevant Maintenance System Inventory Transactions as defined by the process Work Instructions. Maintain cycle count program as outlined by JOST BP. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies including root cause analysis and process improvements. Develop, maintain and improve Tool Crib operations. Place orders for MRO items and other plant supplies in appropriate ordering systems. Deliver supplies to departments in the facility. Assists in the enforcement of the 5S and LEAN housekeeping initiatives. Participates in corrective action/problem solving teams to address root cause issues for long term solutions. REQUIREMENTS: One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. A background in automotive or heavy truck preferred. Ability to obtain JOST International Fork Truck Certifications for sit down and stand up. Working knowledge of inventory control procedures for maintenance, shipping, receiving, and material handling or equivalent experience. Demonstrated problem-solving ability, strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently; must be comfortable in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Ability to bring forth continuous improvement ideas and implement where appropriate. Working knowledge of MRP systems; SAP, MPulse, and advanced skills Microsoft Office; Excel, Word. Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is generally performed in a production plant & warehouse setting 90%. While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and regularly will be required to stoop, kneel, lift or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
