Tool Room Machinist/Programmer

A container and material handling equipment supplier on Dorr Street is looking for a 1st shift Tool Room Machinist/Programmer  

• 5+ years of tool room experience preferred
• Understands general machining principles & tolerances 
• Must be able to perform drilling, milling, tapping, lathe & grinding functions 
• A good mechanical aptitude & willing to learn new skills
• Must be able to read basic blue prints, technical drawings and operate equipment in a safe, efficient manner
• Able to read and use precision instruments including micrometers and calipers
• Able to identify and analyze tooling required to perform necessary functions 
• Have previous experience with CNC and manual machines
• G & M code experience required 
• The ability to operate a variety of manual tool room equipment as well as CNC mills and lathes 
• Program and perform edits using G&M code on 2-3 axis CNC machines and turret presses

Pay is based on experience but starts out at a minimum of $22/hr. 

Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30/3:30pm
