Job Summary
We need to find top talent to ensure our distribution center’s success. The facilities mechanic will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse facility and machinery in order to ensure safe, quality, and smooth operation of the warehouse. Ensures that the warehouse is open and ready and starts up all necessary equipment. Observe, test, and repair equipment and facilities as needed. The ideal candidate is focused on quality, safety, and productivity. We are looking for a team player with a great attitude who can find humor anywhere and help us meet increasing demand as we grow.
Required Skills
  • Support daily warehouse operations through effective troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment including but not limited to pm forklifts, and general facility equipment, adhering to all policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard maintenance practices, methods, tools, knowledge of occupational hazards and possesses experience with OSHA safety training.

  • Able to climb stairs and ladders, extend your reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing and walking, bend from your trunk, operate mobile equipment, kneel, and push and pull objects
  • Ability to operate hand controls with both hands
  • Ability to operate foot pedals with both feet
  • Have sufficient neck range of motion to operate mobile equipment (flexion/extension 60 degrees, lateral flexion 40 degrees, rotation 70 degrees)
  • Ability to perform repetitive overhead reaching
  • Able to work well with others and fit in with a team dynamic

Qualifications
  • 1 year Facilities Maintenance; 2 years preferred.
  • 1 year Dock plate and dock door repair experience; 2 years preferred.
  • 1 year general knowledge of forklift PMs; 2 years preferred.
  • 1 year ability to do minor plumbing repairs; 2 years preferred.
  • 1 year ability to read a multi-meter; 2 years preferred.
  • 1 year general knowledge of HVAC; 2 years preferred.
