MBS is hiring a CNC Programmer in Cincinnati, OH. This position is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for production machine programs, tooling design and tool order processing for all types of production.
- Trouble-shoots machinery operations experiencing difficulties due to routing, tooling or standards.
- Estimates costs, processes orders, and sets time standards.
- Produces computerized CNC metalworking machine operating programs tailored to machine and specific part to be produced.
- Work directly with tooling vendors as necessary for special applications that require tooling that is not available in house.
- Work with machine operators to prove out or revise programs as needed.
- Determines tooling required to complete jobs.
- May design or redesign tooling for new or modified processes or products, or to reduce costs or increase productivity.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years’ experience desired.
- Proficient with Mastercam Software is required.
- Requires knowledge of CNC machine programming, machining practices, precision measuring instruments, tooling properties, raw material properties, and heat treating.
- Have a good knowledge of tooling utilization and well versed in milling and turning practices.
- Knowledge of 4 axis (4thaxis rotary) programming.
- Good math, language, reading skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Visual Acuity.
- Ordinary office working conditions with some short-term exposure to shop conditions.
- Responsible for the safety and clean-up of own area.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
