Dementia Recreation Coordinator

The Recreation Coordinator position works Monday to Friday from 9:30am-5:30pm.  No evening, weekend or holiday work is required!

Insight Memory Care Center is seeking a Full Time Recreation Coordinator to be responsible for day-to-day programming for day center program participants in moderate to later stages of dementia.  The recreation coordinator will be responsible for assessing current participant needs, planning and development of programs, monthly calendar creation, facilitating programing and ongoing evaluation of programming offerings in coordination with the Director of Recreation.  The Recreation Coordinator is also responsible for fostering a team-focused environment as well as practicing Person Centered Care for all participants in their programming and care needs.  This position will also help participants with completing activities of daily living while at the Day Center. 

Qualified Candidates should have experience working with individuals with dementia as well as experience working in a recreation/programming setting.  Ideal education for candidates could include studies in recreation therapy, art therapy, music therapy, gerontology, etc.
