SUMMARY: The Program Coordinator will assist the Clubhouse Manager in planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on Club programs and activities. This position also assists in professional development, family partnerships, and member recruitment. The Program Coordinator maintains Club operations in the absence of the Club Manager. The ideal candidate for this position will value and integrate the perspectives and traditions of their immediate community into daily Club experiences, assist in implementing programs and initiatives to maintain world class services within the Club, and actively maintain high quality programming to ensure member participation and membership.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Operations

  • In the absence of the Clubhouse Manager, maintain safe and high-quality operations
  • Provide primary leadership role for planning and implementing Club programs and activities
  • Assist in assessing and reporting on Club programs, attendance and other key indicators
  • Model best practices and assist in training staff on youth and program methods
  • Maintain a safe, clean, attractive club environment, including highlighting youth projects and work, recognition activities, seasonal activities and projects, etc.
  • Ensure high quality programs in all 5 target areas are planned and delivered to all age groups

Marketing and Public Relations

  • Assist in documentation for social media and marketing efforts
  • Produce and distribute permission slips, posters, newsletters, fliers etc. as needed
  • Promote visibility of programs, including reporting and taking photos and work samples as needed

Partnership Development

  • Provide high quality customer service and maintain positive family and community relationships
  • Plan and implement quarterly family and community events, and maintain regular family communications
  • Attend local events like school open houses and promote Club services and member benefits

Resource Management

  • Assist in purchasing, budget tracking and reporting for program materials
  • Maintain equipment, supplies and facilities

Strategic Planning

  • Assist in developing and implementing annual membership plans and initiatives
Requirements:

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience working with youth required
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • Ability to achieve and maintain first aid and CPR certification
  • Must pass a name-based and fingerprint criminal records background check
