What You Will Do:

The Lead System Architect/Engineer for this large and complex identity and credential management system will be responsible for leading the definition and description of system architecture and associated diagrams and specifications and the coordination of that architecture through the test, quality assurance and production phases.

Responsibilities will include overseeing the planning, transition, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of an enterprise identity and credentialing system, coordinating with technical leads and support teams to ensure the inclusion of necessary milestones, and managing a diverse team of geographically distributed support staff, including subcontractors. The Lead System Architect/Engineer will develop and maintain primary senior customer relationships at multiple levels of the organization, meet with the customer to review plans, progress, deliverables, etc., and ensure alignment with contractual responsibilities. The Lead System Architect/Engineer will focus the efforts of the technical and engineering staff and will lead the creation of the full range of system architecture documents and the coordination of those documents and specifications through the the life cycle of milestones, reviews, and board approvals. The Lead System Architect/Engineer will ensure the architecture is sufficiently detailed to support the development of deployment plans, bill of materials, and other associated program functions.

What You Will Need:

  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security clearance; or higher

  • NINE (9) or more years of relevant experience

  • At least 5 years of experience delivering technology programs in the Department of Defense, mastery of methods and/or tools to control cost, schedule, and performance

  • At least 3 years experience with identity management and credentialing systems delivered to federal clients. 

  • Knowledge of Defense system delivery life cycle and related acquisition frameworks.

  • Strong team management and communications skills

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree of Art or Bachelor’s Degree of Science

  • 5 years or more of supporting the delivery of an identity management system at a major federal agency.
