About the Role:

The candidate will work as a key member of a support team to assist DLA by providing subject matter expertise, in the areas of Enterprise Risk Management, risk assessments, analysis of key business processes, identification and implementation of key internal controls to mitigate risk, analysis of NFRs, validation of corrective action plans (CAPs), and audit remediation and sustainment initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate has demonstrated experience with the following:

• Direct experience performing audits on organizations with spending of more than $40B or more than 25,000 employees in DoD and/or Federal agencies.
• Demonstrated experience with Federal financial statements audit experience to include SSAE No.18 attestation.
• Analyze and improve accounting processes and resolve issues to enable the agency to pass financial statement audits governed by generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS).
• Performed FIAR reviews of key business processes by FIAR Guidance and the implementation and testing of internal controls.
• Knowledge of Federal Accounting Standards Advisor Board (FASAB), Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Concepts (SFFAC), and Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS)
• Provide maximum assistance in resolving previously identified gaps and newfound deficiencies.
• Technical expertise to provide authoritative advice on strategic audit remediation practices and standards.
• Assist DLA management and staff in fully understanding and sustaining effective and auditable business processes. Each task order will have specific objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
• Assist in the coordination with all DLA stakeholders and other contractors as appropriate.
• Willingness to perform additional ad hoc duties within area of practice to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.

Education: Four-year degree in accounting or business management-related field from an accredited institution

Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by examination, licensed by the appropriate state licensing authority

Additional Certification Desired: CIA, CISA, CDFM, or CGFM certification

Experience: 10 years of financial statement audit and/or audit remediation experience

Security: Secret
