About the Opportunity:

The successful Event Coordinator will successfully act as the customer’s primary contact after the Sales Manager/Team Manager has closed the sale ensuring continuous customer satisfaction.This role will provide you with the opportunity to expand your knowledge in the field of sales, hospitality & event management and seeks to prepare you for your future career goals.

About You:

The right person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinates the cruise event with the Sales, Food & Beverage, Operations, and Administrative Departments once the sale has been finalized Acts as the liaison between the Company and special order vendors Develops comprehensive knowledge of product offerings, product extras, pricing and scripting for all standard products Obtains all information related to a cruises from the sales team and individual call center Coordinates all components of a cruise including tickets, bar packages, photo packages, and other special event orders Place special event orders with appropriate, approved outside vendors Performs pre-cruise calls to confirm final group counts and to finalize any last minute event details including menu, bar packages, entertainment and other special requests Upsells to customer who already have cruises booked Ensures complete and accurate product details are communicated to the F&B and Operations Departments to ensure proper execution of the product promised Ensures communication is done in a timely, efficient manner Solicits input and works with Director of Sales and other appropriate sales team members to finalize product offer details as necessary Meets and boards large groups when they arrive for their cruises as needed. On occasion, may be required ride the cruise with the larger groups, especially full deck and full ship charters, to help ensure outstanding product delivery Provides prompt responses to customer inquiries Documents customer interaction in EBMS, the Company’s sales data base Attends and participates in the calendar management meeting Attends other pertinent meetings as requested Maintains good organizational skills through time management, setting priorities, and accurate paperwork. Will assist Director with some part-time Sales Projects in addition to daily responsibilities Additional job duties as assigned Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the work of the position OR equivalent experience Minimum of 1 year of previous customer service experience Minimum of 1 year related industry experience Communicate effectively in oral and written form Maintain high level of organization Be detail oriented Handle multiple tasks/projects at one time Focus on customer needs Meet deadlines Establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by job responsibility Listen effectively, assesses the situation, determine relevant issues, & suggest solutions Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word and Excel)
