We have an exciting opening for an experienced Payroll Bookkeeper to join our corporate offices located near Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike. This is a fast paced, full time position. If you are motivated, dedicated and willing to make your next position your home, we would love to hear from you! Salary will commensurate with experience.

Duties of the Payroll Bookkeeper will include the following:

· Process and record payroll for multiple properties, including accruals & reversals.

· Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.

· Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.

· Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.).

· Perform tasks as assigned by members of the management staff.

· Maintain and enforce policies and procedures for internal control compliance.

· Assist Human Resources on various tasks.

Requirements:

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (required).

· Working knowledge of standard payroll practices and procedures.

· Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.

· Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.

· Experience working within the hospitality industry and with multiple companies (strong plus).

· Prior hotel/restaurant experience and understanding of tips/service charge declarations, sharing, paid outs, etc. (strong plus).

· Experience with Sage 500 ERP, or similar computerized accounting software (strong plus).

· Experience with Paylocity, or similar payroll processing software (strong plus).

· Must be punctual, responsible, dependable and reliable.

· Ability to effortlessly switch gears at a moment’s notice and wear many hats.

· Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high paced, dynamic environment.

· Willingness to work as part of a team and assist co-workers when required.
