CNC Programmer / Machinist

UTRS Advanced Manufacturing (UTRS AM) is currently seeking CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our team! This person will program (using Mastercam) 3-4 axis machining centers, both vertical and horizontal, set up machining centers, prove out processes, and teach operators how to run the jobs.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the UTRS AM team.  Duties include and not limited to:

• Work with a team and independently on methods and programing of new aerospace and OEM complex components.
• Program 4 Axis machining center using Mastercam.
• Independently be able to set-up 4 axis machining centers, as well instruct operators.
• Inspect, 1st article inspection of parts coming off new set-up, teach operators how to inspect.
• Work with Quality Control Mgr. putting together inspection plan and in process inspection forms for production personnel.
• Operate equipment when a job requires a higher level of expertise.
• Program-Setup UR machine-tending Universal Robot Arm
• Strong experience interpreting blueprints, knowledge of GD&T
• Knowledge of cutting tools, insert grades.
• Work and communicate well with a team of 20 operators, machinists, and program engineers.
• Maintenance knowledge and abilities helpful, for Haas & Doosan equipment

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

• Past Mastercam programing experience, machining in both CNC and manual.
• Minimum 5 years of experience programing & machining.
• Must be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly.
• Basic PC knowledge required, (MS Outlook, Excel Word) ECI JobBoss ERP experience helpful.
• Must be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy objects.
• High school diploma required, college or trade school degree beneficial, but not required.
• Mechanical inspection, using bench top tooling, CMM helpful.
• Knowledge of ISO and 5S Management techniques for machine shops.
• Must have strong mechanical skills and experience.
• Must have reliable source of transportation to arrive at work.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
