We are looking for a Director of Collections and Lending Services to join our team. could that be YOU?! Let's find out...

If you enthusiastically answered "Yes" to the questions above, this might be the Director of Collections and Lending Services position for you.

Here's the short list of typical responsibilities (not exhaustive, of course):

  • Leads the daily operations of the Loan Servicing team to include loan processing, loan servicing and default management functions.
  • Assigns and monitors tasks of direct reports, provides training, sets schedules, ensures policies and procedures are followed, and deadlines are met.
  • Improves operations by implementing efficiencies in systems, processes, and procedures. Understands duties and functions of direct reports.
  • Sets strategic goals with direct reports that align with corporate strategic initiatives. Provides vision and direction for team assigned tasks. Reports progress towards goal achievement to management. Provides individual guidance and feedback through ongoing coaching and regular monthly dialogues.
  • Oversees and manages the delinquent loan portfolio including identifying and executing specific strategies to be pursued, routine loan collections, loan reviews, and real estate collections to include a strong relationship with third party servicers. Identifies trends and quality elements of risk including delinquency, bankruptcy, repossessions, foreclosures, and liquidations.
  • Conducts credit analysis and monitoring activities including regular loan review analysis, dealer loss ratios and trends, underwriter quality, home equity risk analysis and financial reporting to management.
  • Completes ongoing reviews and audits of loan documents and lending processes. Collaborates with the VP of Lending to develop, recommend and implement lending policies, procedures, products, and service level standards for improvement and efficiency.
  • Ensures lending servicing compliance with regulations, company policies and operations standards to protect credit union asset quality and minimize losses.
  • Serves as first point of escalation to resolve escalated issues quickly, efficiently, collaboratively, and in a positive manner.

  • Requires three to five years of similar or related experience.
