Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
We areactively seeking experienced Occupational Therapists for full-time positions within school districts in the Napoleonville, LA area. Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply. Please review the detailed qualifications below.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Validstate OT license
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and educational laws related to special education
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement therapy goals within the educational environment
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in groups
- Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in meetings, including IEP meetings and team meetings, to discuss student progress and goals
